About WhatDo
What WhatDo Is
WhatDo.net is a small, independent reference site that answers questions starting with "what do" or "what does": what slang means, what animals eat, what bugs and bites look like, and how people with different senses experience the world.
How Pages Are Structured
- Quick answer: the short version, in one or two sentences
- Key takeaways: the main points at a glance
- Details: context, examples and common confusions
- FAQ: follow-up questions people often ask
- Related questions: links to similar topics
Accuracy and Updates
We check facts against reference works, official agencies and published research, and we revise pages when we find errors or when things change (slang in particular moves fast). Each page shows when it was last updated. Health pages give general information only and are not a substitute for a doctor, dentist or other professional.
If you spot something wrong, see the contact page.
How WhatDo Is Funded
Some pages contain Amazon affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, WhatDo may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The site does not run display ads or sponsored articles, and affiliate links do not decide what we write. Details are on the ad & affiliate disclosure page.
Privacy
WhatDo uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. There are no accounts, forms or newsletters. See the privacy policy.
