WhatDo.net is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, WhatDo earns from qualifying purchases.

Affiliate links appear in the shaded "resources" boxes near the end of some articles. They lead to Amazon search or category pages, and are marked in the page code with rel="sponsored". Buying through them does not change the price you pay.

No display ads or sponsored posts

WhatDo does not currently show display advertising from any ad network, and no company pays to appear in or influence an article. If that changes, this page will be updated first.

Editorial independence

Articles are written to answer the question, not to sell products. Affiliate links are added afterwards where a general category of products (for example field guides or binoculars) may be useful, and we do not review or rank specific products.
